Accomodation was very nice although a little bit too much Ikea-like and kitsh (black and white paintings, and so on). The location is great, but don't be affraid to feel as in Disneyworld if you come in high-season: the Diocletian Palace looks more like a tourist center than an old palace where you feel Roman atmosphere (a problem in Split in general, in our opinion, that we did not find in Sibenik for instance, which was more calm and peaceful). Also note that in summer musicians are playing in front of the main cafe located just near to the Diocletian palace, and that it can became noisy if you want to have rest earlier than midnight.
Our host was very friendly and ready to help, but not based on site. The door of the hotel is quite flashy with advertisement regarding the rooms on it: again, dont' be affraid by the commercial aspect that is given to the place. The view from our room was very nice. Last but not least there was dust beneath the bed and the sink was clogged. The room could have been cleaner with regards to the price it costs...More
