“Amazing coffee in Split!”
Review of D16 Coffee

D16 Coffee
Ranked #2 of 13 Coffee & Tea in Split
Certificate of Excellence
Price range: $3 - $9
Description: D16 Coffee is an enthusiastic team of baristas and specialty coffee roasters from Split a charming coffee shop in the heart of Diocletian’s Palace and an espresso bar on Domovinskog rata 39B. At D16 Coffee, we always strive to source the best green beans from the current season which we freshly roast, allowing our passionate baristas to pour the greatest coffee to our customers. We exclusively use 100% arabica specialty coffee beans that comply with the highest standards of farming, drying, sorting, transporting and roasting set by the Specialty Coffee Association. We are proud of Croatia’s rich coffee drinking culture shaped by the Ottomans, Venetians, and Austro-Hungarians which we showcase on quirky wall illustrations merged with urban elements to represent our third wave approach and modern-day's demand for an even better cup.

Coffee was amazingly good! Place is very nicely decorated, stuff is super friendly and the most exciting thing- they accept cards (it’s super rare in Croatia) ! Really recommend this place!!

Small cosy cafe. Limited seating but in late June we always got a seat on our visits.

If you’re a coffee lover, pay extra and have the single origin - Colombian at the time we visited. Coffee is roasted in Split. Flat whites had perfect texture and simple latte art (I think this depends on the barista).

Not somewhere locals go for a coffee because it’s so much more expensive than the other places in town. (10kn espresso, 23kn flat white, 16kn latte, ice coffee 18kn). More a place for people used to speciality coffee at home and not willing to drink instant or bad coffee on holiday.

It’s somewhere to sit for a quick coffee or maybe up to half an hour as a break from wandering around town. Free WiFi, and many opportunities to take interesting photos for Instagram etc!

Croissants are delivered for the morning, cookies available all day. Almond milk available for vegans. Otherwise they use full fat UHT milk - as it’s almost impossible to buy fresh milk in Croatia.

Hello, thank you for your opservation and compliments, we apreaciate it.
Also, we would like to note that we never had the “pay extra” espresso option as are planing to introdouce that this fall. If possible, could you tell us when you were served that the service asked for extra money? Also, we would like to know where to improve to reach the 5 star rating, in your opinion, as we hold our cusomers oppinions in the highest regard.

Thanks, and hope to see you again!

Stopped in on a rainy afternoon for a cappuccino pick me up. Wonderful little spot. Very efficient service and the cappuccino was delicious. No bitterness whatsoever, very smooth. Place was very busy at 1630! We are staying very close by and will definitely be making return visits daily!
