D16 Coffee
Ranked #2 of 13 Coffee & Tea in Split
Price range: $3 - $9
Description: D16 COFFEE IS CLOSED FOR WINTER! D16 Coffee is an enthusiastic team of baristas and specialty coffee roasters from Split a charming coffee shop in the heart of Diocletian’s Palace and an espresso bar on Domovinskog rata 39B. At D16 Coffee, we always strive to source the best green beans from the current season which we freshly roast, allowing our passionate baristas to pour the greatest coffee to our customers. We exclusively use 100% arabica specialty coffee beans that comply with the highest standards of farming, drying, sorting, transporting and roasting set by the Specialty Coffee Association. We are proud of Croatia’s rich coffee drinking culture shaped by the Ottomans, Venetians, and Austro-Hungarians which we showcase on quirky wall illustrations merged with urban elements to represent our third wave approach and modern-day's demand for an even better cup.

Hard to find speciality coffee in Split; even harder to find one inside the old city. It is situated close to the most popular street in the old city which makes the shop quiet and relaxing enough for a break.

D16 has good filtered coffee at reasonable price (~20 Kuna). Lemonade is probably made from fresh lemon - it is very sour and refreshing!

After months of waiting for 4Coffee Soul Food's second location to open we set out to compare cappuccino to cappuccino and espresso to espresso with a fun jaunt through the north side of Diocletian's palace. (It's easy for me to remember the name of the street, Dominisova, since John Dominis was the first gov of Maui and married to Queen Liliuokalani.)

Back to the coffee... what we found is a much larger space, more beverages offered, and the same terrific coffee offered in their first location. And if you haven't been to either location yet they offer a custom-blend of Arabica beans and are passionate about delivering a quality beverage that a former Blue Bottle customer gets giddy about.

Husband is the coffee lover, he was very happy & satisfied. I am a tea person, had awesome custom mixed tea blends IN A COFFEE SHOP! Also healthier cold sodas, iced coffees were seen & the cleanest, private men/ladies room to use. Location in D's Palace, close to everything you could want. Wi-fi password, freely given to us to use.
