"NewCroatia" style hotel - modern minimalism, which several Croatian hotels seem to be attempting. In the heart of the old town, so very convenient, although parking is a nightmare (use the hotel's own parking spaces, 5 mins walk away, if pre-booked @ £15/day). Rooms are ok, not large, very modern, with a decent shower-room - but completely soulless. Breakfast room similar, and quite small. Staff very offhand all round.

We loved everything about this hotel. The staff, the facilities, the breakfast and the location. We stayed there for 2 nights, with the last night having the celebrations of Croatia joining the EU just blocks away and we did not hear anything ( other than the fireworks, but they were really LOUD ) We would highly recommend this hotel.

Our stay was great with a clean room. Location was just of one of the squares with a sun terrace to relax.

Breakfast in the morning was continental buffet.

Front desk staff bent over backwards to help us such as buying our Hvar ferry tickets on our behalf.

Split is a fantastic city and this hotel could not be in a better location to explore it from. It is a quiet lovely hotel close to everything. The rooms were very comfortable, the bathrooms really nice and the breakfast was a wonderful way to start the day.

We stayed at the Marmont Hotel for two nights in early June 2013. It is a delightful little hotel. Excellent location right in the middle of the old town which means there is no vehicle access. It is only a short walk from the road however and the hotel can help with bags also. We particularly liked the fact that the hotel was an elegant marriage of the old and the new. It fitted right into the atmosphere but had enough modern luxury to suite a tied traveller. The bathroom was a good size and well designed -- both often lacking in European hotels. At check-in I asked for soy milk for breakfast. Not only did they supply that but also soy yogurt too. The staff were efficient and helpful, the hotel is placed so that a traveller can wander out to see the sites of the old city and drop back in to pick-up a coat or drop off shopping etc. Breakfast was good. Overall a great little hotel, highly recommended.

Room Tip: Very small hotel but ask for a room above the ground floor.
