I stayed in Split for 3 months and this Restaurant is by far the best I found here during that time:
The family runs this cozy Restaurant themselve and you can easily feel: they love what they do! The food they offer is always fresh and domestic and therefore varies from day to day. The konobar (son of the cook) gave us an overview about the today’s offer (if required in fluent English) and showed us a plate with all the fresh fish they bought on the market that day. He suggested some combinations of side dishes and in the end we got our very individual dishes. The taste of the food makes you really diving into Dalmatian's way of enjoying life's gifts.
The Restaurant is quite small, so I can imagine that it might be difficult to find a table in main season. However, if you succeed in snatching one, this is your chance to escape the mass touristic offers which are widely spread in the city.
If you are interested in best quality local food this place is a must!
