Description: We are a place where friends are always welcome. It's small so you can feel the art and the good vibes filling your trip with interesting stories from strangers that by the time you are leaving have become friends. Come and start your night enjoying a delicious dinner with a nice cold beer or a glass of wine.

Went here on a couple of occasions.

Quirky is an understatement when describing this place: It's a small, cosy, corner bar. There is a rope to help you get up the steep stairs onto the upstairs above the bar where the larger tables are. The walls and ceilings are covered with trinkets, obscure items and bottles - and a pen provided for you to add your contribution to the walls.

(For the UK reader, this sounds like a bar in Shoreditch... don't worry it's not like that)

Food is nice enough, though this is definitely more a bar, reflected in the limited options.

The staff there are really friendly, and the lively atmosphere reflects it.

Get in a pitcher of beer, and you can end up here for hours.

Note: As others have pointed out this is very small. We came off season. On season I can imagine it would be quite a wait for a table.

We stopped by Por Que No a couple weeks ago.

The ambiance is unique but not comfortable for us.
We aren't impressed with grafitti on the walls and overall
would rather be dining in a restaurant with a more traditional decor.

The food was Ok. The chicken curry and quesadillas were OK.

It appears the restaurant appeals to a younger crowd.

Prices are good.

We've been to Porque No many times since our 1st trip to Antigua and Carlos and Carolina always make a point to give us a big hug and thank us for coming in.

Porque No is small....so plan ahead and be patient for a table.

The food is simple but very tasty. I am a huge fan of the Lomito as well as the Shrimp Curry. The food is well prepared and a GREAT value, especially compared to the overpriced mediocre meals at many Antigua restaurants.

Carlo's does a nice crepe for desert too!

This is a great place to just a a beer or a glass of wine and socialize too.

If you are looking for a super friendly place with great food to meet friends or meet new friends, this is the place.

Small, adorable restaurant where the owners work hard to make sure you feel at home. The food (I had eggplant parmesan) was delicious, but the company was even better. The owners speak wonderful English, but are also happy to help you practice speaking Spanish with lots of good conversation. The atmosphere is lovely and completely comfortable -- I can't wait to return!

We visited a couple weeks ago and we liked Por Que No but mostly because the owners are trying very hard.

We weren{t impressed with the ambiance. Its more like a Speak Easy environment from New York back in the day. Not unlike Cafe No Se in Antigua.

The quesadillas are good but not something we would return for.

Prices are reasonable.

Its a long walk from Park Central and a little obscure to find.
