“Nice ruins”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 10, 2013

I was amazed by the roof which is still stable but parts of it due to the hearthquake fell apart. It's worth having a look.

“Suprising that ruins are still there from 1773 earthquake”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 15, 2013

The cathederal was a massive building until the earthquake of 1773 did a number on it. Surprising that the ruins remain to this day.

“la Catedral”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 31, 2012

Most of la catedral is in ruins. The part of the building that is still used is rather small. Be sure to tour the grounds and ruins of what used to be a grand cathedral.

“Cathedral with a difference”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 25, 2012

The original cathedral is in ruins behind the facade that you see from the main square. So when I entered the building, I had to turn right from the front door to look up the nave to the altar. A beautiful church all the same and the ruins were impressive to see what damage an earthquake can do to a large stone building.
