Do go in and do pay to see the museum. These are spectacular ruins with great views of the volcanoes which make it very photographic.

To be honest when you have see one in this area you have seen them all and on our tour we visited plenty!. Amazing that it has withstood the earth quakes and natural disasters though.

This church is very unusual- with Maya rituals mixed with some Catholic doctrine. Quite unlike other chrches- masses of candles and very odd rituals. Well worth a visit but NO PHOTOGRAHING INSIDE- unless you wish to spend your holiday in a Guatemalan jail

very pretty architecture and especially fervent during the ceremonies of Easter. masses of adherents parade through the streets carrying massive wooden floats over carpet which are made from colored sawdust and flower petals
