Owner description: Destroyed twice by earthquakes, this 1548 church was rebuilt in the 1700s to withstand earthquakes and boasts a lovely yellow façade and a huge stone fountain, reputed to be the largest in Central America.

Fantastic baroque stylings on the outside. Inside is plainer but with some interesting religious artifacts (in the slightly lurid Latin-American style). Very much a functioning church -- if you want to attend a Sunday service, arrive early, because it gets packed.

Very nice church with amazing decoration on the outside. There is a museum too, next to the church, there is a small entrance fee. There is a fact taking place every last Thursday of every month, it was interesting too.

I only went into the monastery side but the view is great from second floor and make sure you get a close up photo of the angels on the cool fountains.

So many yellow churches so make sure this is the correct one!!! If you walk towards the yellow arch down the side street you will come to Tim pok a cool store make sure you visit there!!!

Gorgeous "wedding cake" like decor outside, a lovely working church inside. A great morning stroll spot.
