Antigua is a wonderful and charming city. This hotel however, might just out-do the town. A perfect blend of antique and modern restoration. Even walking the hallways becomes an enjoyable experience as you relax to Vivaldi and the soft flow of water fountains. A romantic dinner at their in-house restaurant is an absolute must!

Lovely time, lovely service, absolutely stunning environment. We had the best time in a quaint city due to this property. Walking in to the the property after a crazy day in Guatemala city made this reviewer immediatly serene and content. Highly recommended!

Room Tip: Thick walls - any room would be well insulated and quiet.

My wife and I spent three nights at the Casa Santo Domingo and enjoyed every minute of it. It is absolutely fascinating and we received great service. Loved the pleasant carpeted room with a fireplace and patio/fountain view. We highly recommend this hotel.

Casa Santo Domingo was the location of a convent in the 16th century. The place is fabulous and absolutely beautiful. Ruins still sourround the building. This is by far one of the bests hotels in Central America. Antigua is named by its historical heritage, and Casa Santo Domingo is one of the town’s colonial jewels. I could not imagine a better place to stay while in this charming city.
The hotel offers all the 5-star hotel facilities, including turn-down. Service is great. Stuff is rather friendly and helpful. The architecture and design both of the city and the hotel-museum are unique. Highly recommended for the slightly adventurous who want a romantic getaway but not in any cliche manner. There are two museums [free to guests] on the property, macaws abound, liturgical music in the background softly plays, and the pool is warm enough to walk right in and enjoy. Rooms are spacious and lovely decorated with fireplace, confortable bathroom, shower. and jasmine covered balconies overlooking the three volcanos that surround the hotel, one still active. Restaurant is excellent and with a super wine list. Great brunch on Sunday. At night the whole hotel is lit with thousands of candles and rose petals float in basins at every turn. They also offer free coffee, cookies, candies, and newspapers in the afternoon. Unforgettable experience.I highly recommend it.
