This place is a gem. It's the kind of place that I am hesitant to write about... because I don't want to spoil this secret. Don't judge a book by its cover. May not look like much from the street (though few places in Antigua can be gauged from the street view), but it delivers large portions of amazing food at a great price. Fewer than 25 or 30 seats pack this little eatery. Nice simple menu of home-cooked traditional food ... as well as some contemporary options (stir fry, etc). Everything is homemade, and the portions are large. Even the most expensive plate (Jespers Special) comes in at less an 40Q. Most dishes are 15-25Q.
Cosy and fun, and really nice at night. We ate here twice...lunch one day.. and dinner another. It was our best meal in Guatemala. Even if you just want a beer and a snack then give this place a try. Just a few minutes walk from the central square, so go and have a look. Really a fun place.
