Description: It's hard to describe the quaint charm and unexpected humor embedded in Y Tu Pina Tambien that makes it such a wonderful and comfortable place to spend a morning or afternoon. A menu full of delicious brunch foods, organic salads, homemade sandwiches, great coffee, Mezcal cocktails, unique liquados, advil (on the house!) and more. It's a great place to cure your hangover, study spanish, catch up on emails, listen to great music, and last but not least make a new friend. The place attracts a great, eclectic local crowd and if you stop by you're bound to find yourself becoming part of the Pina family.

“We love Y Tu Piña Tambien!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 9, 2013

I highly recommend this place for a tasty breakfast in an eclectic atmosphere.

Let's see, I've tried the [--] McMuffin, "Grilled Cheesus" sandwich and the pancakes.

Bloody Maria's - made with vodka or mescal - are made to order and delicious! I prefer the mezcal Marias because the hint of smokiness imparted by the mezcal is complements items on the menu very well.

Y Tu Piña Tambien is also dog-friendly and the crowd is young and fun. Check it out!

“Complete overhaul”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 10, 2013

I recently visited Y Tu Pina Tambien for the second time and was pleasantly surprised! Not only did the outlook change completely, they also upgraded their menu and improved their service.

The first time I was there the service was very slow and the staff didn't seem too engaged. It was the exact opposite now. And they have actual NY style sandwiches! I will definitely come here a lot often now.

“Singing the blues”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 8, 2013

Came to this cafe as a family after having read good reviews both on trip advisor and in the main guide books. Maybe my expectations were too high as we left really disappointed. The sliced bread on two of the plates were stale; only made edible after we asked the staff to toast the bread. The boiled eggs overcooked; the plated lacked any mayo or chutney or butter even. Some of the fruit in my daughters fruit salad was rotten. The portions were small and thus overpriced. The smell of cigarette smoke was really off putting as smokers sat in the doorways having their fix. Finally, we were overcharged on the bill. To the cafe's credit this was sorted as soon as we pointed out the error. On a positive note however, the music was good. Somebody was singing the blues which seemed apt given our experience at this cafe.

“Best breakfasts in town by far”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 4, 2013

I love this place. I have made four trips to Antigua in the past year and this is by far my favorite breakfast place in town. It is also a great place to pop in a grab a coffee or a liquado and some free wifi. The atmosphere is reminiscent of my favorite coffee place in San Francisco, the original Philz in the Mission.

“Huevos rancheros and cream cheese french toast with strawberries”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 6, 2013

The location of this little coffee shop is very nice. You order at the counter and then eat at one of the tables, more like a coffee shop than a restaurant. I had the huevos rancheros which were very good and my son the french toast, which he loved. It came with two pieces of bread and cream cheese in the middle, covered in cinnamon sugar with a nice strawberry sauce. The food was good, but it would have been nice to have a real table to eat at.
