“Sweet and Fragrant... Perfect Tour”
Reviewed August 3, 2014

Mmmmmmm!!! The chocolate smelled amazing and the worker Marisol made the tour worth it. She was funny and kind and she made the tour interesting. We raced each other to make a rich and creamy chocolate and that made me so happy to be there. Marisol was very knowledgable about the Mayan way to make chocolate and she knew about the cacao beans. She was very passionate when it came to making the chocolate. If you go to Antigua, Guatemala, please try to go to the ChocoMuseo and make sure that you do the tour with Marisol. Thank you Marisol for a sweet and fragrant tour!!

“Fun!”
Reviewed August 3, 2014

We had a fantastic time at the ChocoMuseo. We were a group of 4adults, 2 young adults (18-20 years) and 4 children (3-15 years). Everyone had a fantastic time. Our "teacher," Marisol, was bubbly and engaging. We learned a lot about chocolate and had fun making our own chocolates and sampling chocolate tea, drinking chocolate, etc. This is an excellent family activity, but fun for anyone who likes chocolate.

“Hot Chocolate Heaven”
Reviewed August 1, 2014

This was a great stop! Free break during the afternoon. You can step into the "museum" room and watch the DVD. The workers are all pretty knowledgeable about the process and the products. Do all of the samples! Of course they want you to buy a $6 bar of chocolate or a $15-20 chocolate making experience, but I spent 18Q ($2.25) to do the Make Your Own Mayan hot chocolate, which was delicious, rich, and way more fun! (The chili is hot! Use just a pinch.)
*Hidden Gem- the courtyard behind the ChocoMuseo is where a lot of Mayan women sit and sew their exotic fabrics. A lovely view to sit and sip your hot chocolate.
Bathrooms are for paying customers only.

“Chocho heaven...hands on experience”
Reviewed July 28, 2014

An insightful tour on the process from bean to bar. Beware you will be put to work! You'll help make chocolate drinks and your very own custom chocolates with various mixin's. Ive been to a few chocolate tours from bigger makers but this one tops them due to the artisinal style of chocolate making.
