This is possibly the smallest 'museum' I have ever visited. I think it is better described as a chocolate shop which has some interesting information about the history of chocolate cultivation and consumption. The interpretation is in English as well as Spanish. Worth a look if you are passing.

This is a cute little museum in the heart of Antigua, where you can learn about the history of chocolate, learn how to make chocolate, but most importantly eat a bunch of chocolate. I highly recommend the hot chocolate with milk where you can add two flavors. I liked the chili and honey combo. Spicy hot chocolate!

We had a wonderful afternoon with the hilarious Pablo (not Pedro) learning about the history of chocolate, tasting the amazing variety of hot chocolate infusions and finally designing our own chocolates to take home. A fantastic experience that all ages will enjoy!

I celebrated a birthday in Antigua and couldn't think of a more fun thing to do than learn about and make chocolate. Ask for Pablo (as previously noted). He is so passionate about his work. Our group of three thoroughly enjoyed his tour and instruction. Later in the week, he recognized us on the street and greeted us like family. This is a must-do in Antigua! Don't just buy the chocolate - making it is the best way to sample all the possibilities: tea, butter, nibs for salads. Ummmmmmmm.
