I have spent the best part of three weeks in this hotel. You enter a small door which leads to a cool and refreshing garden filled with lush greenery. The en suite rooms are cool, comfortable and very clean, if not too, too spacious. The location is within one minute from the Central Park and Cathedral. Five minutes from the chicken bus station and all the markets. The hotel remains quiet with marvellous breakfasts which you can opt to eat in your room, the garden or up on the roof terrace with superb views over the city and the three volcanoes nearby - one of which, Volcan Fuego is active and gently puffs away. The staff are discreet, charming and helpful. All amenities and agencies for day tours are close. The city of Antigua is cultural with everything to suit all tastes

We only stayed one night, but we were happy and would have stayed longer if we had more time in Antigua. For the price, the service was great, and it was remarkably quiet considering it is in the center of town. The towels are a little thin and the shower isn't really hot, but everything is clean and the whole place is very pretty with the rooms around the central courtyard garden. Someone was always at the front desk for questions, and although we arrived before the posted checkin time, they immediately gave us a room. The rooftop terrace is an added bonus, with beautiful views of Antigua and the surrounding volcanoes, and nice tables and chairs. We will stay there again when we return to Antigua.

Everything about this hotel is on the money, and such good value.

Great location, very good to have access to a kitchen and free drinking water top ups. The staff are lovely and warm and helpful.

Choose a balcony room upstairs to avoid the morning noise of the busy staff.

One thing, though,...please hotel management, replace BOTH bad mattresses in room 13... We only stayed there one night, but our backs were almost done in!

Room Tip: Avoid up luck 13....until the excellent staff replace the beds!

Posada san vicente is a nice hotel and central to all. The price is right. Rooms are nice , but make sure there is hot water in the shower. It is located across the street from a great restaurant called sabe rico. Also next to hotel is a travel agency that will take you to lake atitlan. Do not take the shuttle that the hotel recommends. No swimming pool, but access to one that is a sister hotel to san vicente.

There is pure water all over the courtyard. The rooms are tiny but clean. There is always someone at the desk. They close the doors at night so you have to knock to get in. Very close to everything in town. Felt safe in the area too. Highly recommend visiting the Antigua market
