A great place to be in Antigua.
Advantages: large spacious rooms with large bathrooms. Very clean place with a parking space inside. There is a very nice patio with seating areas and a roof-top with a view of volcanoes around the city.
The place is not in the center but close just a few minutes walk to the city center.
The hotel is located in a quiet and safe neighborhood. Highly recommended to those coming by private car or shuttle.
There is a kitchen for guests to use with a large public room.
Relative disadvantages: a simple continental breakfast and reception services no like ordinary hotel.
In summary - no doubt, this is an excellent B & B!
Quiet, clean, welcoming owners, large and spacious rooms.
Reasonable price, of course relatively expensive to hostels prices in town.

Room Tip: take the rooms on ground floor - their near the garden

Nice and quiet B&B just 10 minutes walk from the city center. The rooms are very spacious and clean, the breakfast is good, and the staff is welcoming and friendly. There is also a nice garden and roof terrace with an great view on one of the volcanoes around Antigua.
When making my reservation they informed me the first night was fully booked, however they immediately suggested an alternative location around the corner and arranged all the details for me. Very helpful!
If you're looking for a quiet place to relax after exploring Antigua and its surroundings, I can definitely recommend this B&B.

The concept of this B&B is the best I've seen; large rooms and enormous baths by most standards, a garden courtyard, off street parking, balcony views of the volcanoes, and a community kitchen and dining area. If you like the option of cooking at home on occasion, you'll appreciate this privilege. Chez Daniel is securely tucked behind a towering wall in a quaint neighborhood within ten minutes of the central park. It also has a tienda across the street (for snacks, water and such) and an incredible holistic center around the corner called Prana.

Daniel had multiple suggestions of outings based on our interests and shared with us his photography that captures not only his affection for the local culture but documents it's history as well. His staff included Roberto, who provided breakfast most days and made the absolute best hot chocolate (Mayan style) and Marleni, jack of all trades including Spanish instructor, who managed our tour and travel arrangements like a pro. What a charming stay away from home.

For the price (about $50/night), Chez Daniel is one of the best travel bargains I have found. Large bedroom and bath, very clean and very helpful owners and stafff. After activities/excursions during the day, it was a great, peaceful place to relax.

I first stayed at Chez Daniel in June 2011 for a long weekend in Antigua, and I stayed again for 2 weeks in June 2012 while taking Spanish classes. Chez Daniel is great as a B&B and as a longer term stay - they have a great kitchen, fantastic rooms (large, clean, bright), a pretty garden with great volcano views, and a truly helpful and wonderful staff. Daniel, Maria Elena, and Marleni are fantastic and made me feel at home during my stay!

We spent 8 days at this delightful bed and breakfast. The hosts, Daniel and Maria Elena were very helpful in providing us with information on restaurants and historical sites. We particularly enjoyed the stay on the cheese making farm in the highlands which they arranged for us.
It is located in a quiet and safe neighborhood and is an easy walk from the center of Antigua.
The rooms are spacious, well decorated and provide a beautiful view of the volcano.
We looked forward to Robert's cappuccino and the lovely French croissant in the morning while enjoying Daniels awesome photography on the walls in the dining area.
Marleni was more than helpful and a highlight were our daily Spanish lessons with her - she is an excellent teacher.
We highly recommend Chez Daniel where you will be cared for like family.
