There is a jewellery store in the front with a small and
quaint restauarnt in the back.

The menu is very limited but the choices are prepared
dailey. The plates are truly gourmet style dining. Portions
are small but very very good.

Usually the owner is on the floor to chat with his guests.

Service was excellent.

I came here hoping to find something warm and that's exactly what I got. In the wilderness of Semana Santa I found a place to relax, drink an amazing trago and watch videos of the greatest hits of a musician that will never get old to me. This place is a a bit pricey to the wandering eye but you get well beyond the quality and service here that you pay for. Check it out. Bring friends or yourself and feel comfortably at home.

And c'mon,
we're talking bout Quetzales!

Enjoy

Great location to start with, like most of the places you have an iron gate to get through but when inside it feels very warmth and inviting. Lex Cargo the owner is very The first room has a display of jewerely of the owner and the next room is where you can sit on lower benches or chair to enjoy a very tasty food. Great drinks... not a big space and it doesn't get to crowdy..

The Cargo Room is both a restaurant, a jewelery store, and a personal theater for the charismatic owner Lex. Lex Cargo is has designed jewelery for the rich and famous, and has retail locations in Coral Gables, Miami and Madrid, Spain. However Antigua is his home and his place to relax and entertain his "best friends for a night". He makes each guest feel special and attends to each table all throughout the night. His drink specials are unique and tasty. The food is exceptional and each dish has some surprise ingredient that sets it apart from the norm.
Plan on a fun night at the Cargo Room, and you wont be disappointed.

How do I descibe this experience? The owner LEX is an artist with his food, decorating and the jewelry he makes. He has not only made personal items for royalty & stars but probably has had the WHO;s WHO of the world in this establishment. Music plays all the time keeping the tempo upbeat. The trip to the CARGO ROOM would be worth the trip just to meet LEX even if you didn't have food...which I suggest you do! Cocktails...some of the most wonderfull drinks I have ever experienced! You must get him to show you all the magazines that have written about him...some even cover stories. This was probably one of the most entertaining dinners I have ever experienced! Wait! The staff...best personal service ever!
