This small restaurant has it all- excellent food and ambience at reasonable prices. You can tell that the owner is the chef.

Nice, small restaurant with great food, great selection of wines and beautiful views from the terrace. The owner Jean Francois is very personable. Service fast and professional. Food was very tasty, very good presentation. The restaurant is not opened on Mondays (i think).

We have been customers of Jean Francois in the city for quite
sometime and knowing the same owner has Tarines we gave it a try.

Overall, it was OK. Maybe lacking in decor although the terrace view
is spectacular.

Our waiter was OK. He didn´t appear friendly almost like he was having a bad
day or doesn´t really like his work that much.

The pepper steak (which we love at the other location) was OK. Over-seasoned
and not cooked to our order. It was tender so we ate it without a fuss.

We try it again as we believe Tartines will be as good as the City location.

I truly enjoyed this meal because it offered excellent french technique but also showed a willingness to explore outside the box and use local ingredients. For appetizers I had the artichoke hearts stuffed with lorocos, as well as a plate of perfectly sauteed local mushrooms. The main course was a delightful ratatouille crepe, and for dessert I had an incredible chico pudding. The service was quality, and the patio setting was beautiful as well. They charge higher prices than restaurants that serve purely local cuisine, but for a special occasion this is a wonderful treat!

We visited Tartines upon reading the reviews in Trip
Advisor but were let down with out experience.

Service was very good.

Salads were very good too!

But, we ordered the pepper steak as others recommended.
The steaks were not at all tender. In fact, maybe two of the
worse stekas we have ever eaten. The meat was very tough
and very, very hard to chew.

We didn{t stay for dessert.

prices are OK for what you order but they were poor for
the valus and quality of our steaks.

The terrace view overlooking the ruin is exceptionally pretty.
