“Excellent French Food with a Local Twist”
Reviewed September 20, 2013

I truly enjoyed this meal because it offered excellent french technique but also showed a willingness to explore outside the box and use local ingredients. For appetizers I had the artichoke hearts stuffed with lorocos, as well as a plate of perfectly sauteed local mushrooms. The main course was a delightful ratatouille crepe, and for dessert I had an incredible chico pudding. The service was quality, and the patio setting was beautiful as well. They charge higher prices than restaurants that serve purely local cuisine, but for a special occasion this is a wonderful treat!

“Overall a poor experience”
Reviewed September 2, 2013

We visited Tartines upon reading the reviews in Trip
Advisor but were let down with out experience.

Service was very good.

Salads were very good too!

But, we ordered the pepper steak as others recommended.
The steaks were not at all tender. In fact, maybe two of the
worse stekas we have ever eaten. The meat was very tough
and very, very hard to chew.

We didn{t stay for dessert.

prices are OK for what you order but they were poor for
the valus and quality of our steaks.

The terrace view overlooking the ruin is exceptionally pretty.

“Dee-lish Patio Dining”
Reviewed August 8, 2013

We stopped in here for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed it as well as the view. Next trip I plan on coming back to try dinner. The steaks with mushroom sauce looked really dee-lish!

“Very yummy, while overlooking the church ruins”
Reviewed August 6, 2013

This restaurant is very close to the Parque Central. It has different levels and we sat in the open air patio at the top, looking over the gorgeous church ruins and listening to the live music from the Parque. I compared it in my mind to being in la bella Italia:-) Lunch for 2 was grilled panini sandwiches (one tuna, the other chicken breast) with a crisp, fresh side salad and a very generous order of fresh, crisp french fries, large enough for 2. The juices were also delicious and very refreshing. Our sandwiches were grilled to perfection and the combination of additional ingredients was excellent. The service was excellent! It was a little on the pricy side (about $30.00 for lunch for 2 with no alcohol or desserts). But the leisurely time spent there, the view, the breeze, the tastes and the service were all very pleasant.
