This is a fantastic place to stay in Antigua. Lovely, peaceful hotel with great, welcoming staff and a very inviting room equipped with an enormous bed and candles! Will definitely return next time I visit Antigua.

I've stayed at this little hidden gem in Antigua several times and have yet to be disappointed. In fact, I loved the place so much, I proposed to my girlfriend in the beautiful garden they have in the back and was even offered help by the owner to set up candles, champagne and everything. The service is always excellent and for the price and the set up, you feel like you have the luxuries of a chain hotel (excellent presentation, comfortable beds and terrific breakfast)all without sacrificing the quaintness of this little colonial house. Excellent in terms of a small boutique hotel. I definitely recommend it and will absolutely stay again.

Three of us stayed in two rooms for 5 days during Christmas week. Previous reviews indicate owners Benjamin and Cecilia were gracious, accommodating and very exceptional hosts. Unfortunately the owners now live in another country and no longer manage the property.

Pros: Lovely private courtyard, comfortable double bed, pleasant staff.

Cons: No hot water for two days, staff only present 2-4 hours each day, no contact information provided so we could reach staff to report problems/fix things, one of our rooms was not made up on 2 of the 5 days, sheets and towels were thread bare and not changed daily, breakfast was included in our rate but was not provided on 2 of the 5 days, a small bar of soap was provided once, a broken bedroom window lock was replaced with masking tape, the king bed was two mismatched twin beds side by side, there was black mold in the shower areas.

The hotel could be a very pleasant experience if ownership was more involved in daily operations and had staff on site more than a few hours each day.

Thank you very much for your review. SInce your visit during Christmas, the hotel is now under ownership by myself Chris and wife Denisse. We have done a complete overhaul of the rooms, beds, infrastructure (hot water, etc) and have implemented a full time 24 hour staff. It is unfortunate that you experienced this over the holidays. The previous owners are great people and were out of the country on personal matters and have since relocated. We hope that you stop by again in the near future to see all of our lovely improvements. Happy traveling!

A very small Boutique hotel, great rooms, great staff, etc. The hotel has a Family or Romantic Charm. We went for our Anniversary with my wife and had a great romantic stay. In the morning we were greeted by Benjamin and Cecilia for the best home made breakfast we have had, fresh fruits, great Guatemalan coffee, eggs, frijoles, etc, the works.
This is the place to stay if your in Antigua Guatemala.

This beautiful little spanish colonial style hotel, with its garden courtyards, dining patios, spacious rooms and helpful staff, became our entertaining and gathering center for meeting with friends and enjoying the gracious atmosphere. The breakfasts were wonderful, and the staff totally accommodating . You can't beat the value at the cost per night. Marta C.

With such a small hotel and such few rooms, it´s impossible not to feel as if you´re staying at the home of very good friends who´ll make sure you have the best Antigua experience. If personalized service is what you´re looking for, look no further.

Room Tip: Rooms in front of the courtyard are much quieter.

Very comfortable small hotel in a beautiful courtyard setting. The owner and staff did everything they could to make us feel welcome. Location is great and one certainly gets the feeling of colonial Antigua. I would certainly return.

Room Tip: All the rooms seemed very nice; choice depends on traveler's needs.
