“BRUNCH!!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 9, 2012

Although the Maitre'D was inept and wouldn't seat our whole party together (even though there was a giant table next to us that sat empty as the reservation never showed)....the Brunch was insane!

It rivaled the brunch at any Ritz Carlton an dthe price of Q126 (about $16/pp) is insane!

Located inside the picturesque Santo Domingo was agreat brunch with:

Fresh Juices and Smoothies
Fresh Fruit Station
Omellette Station
Crepe Station
Typical Guatemalan Food which was delicious
AMAZING freshly made tortillas
The most amazing Chicken Roasting on a spit ever

and much much more.

This is a MUST in Antigua on a sunday morning, plan your trp aroung it.

“Great Food!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 7, 2012

You must try the tasters menu here. While it may seem at bit pricey (about $50) it is well worth the price. Also, take some time to walk around the hotel grounds and pay the few dollars to look in all of the extra museums. A great cultural experience.

“Great breakfast”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 24, 2012

The restaurant is located in a former convent and the atmosphere is quite special. I had an excellent breakfast here, huevos del convento, two fried eggs on tortilla with cheese and two types of salsa - it was delicious. The service was good, although not particularly friendly. I think it's worth to eat here eat least once, to enjoy the environment. It's not cheap, but not unaffordable either (and Santo Domingo is among Guatemala's best hotels, so it's not surprising the prices are higher than average).

“decent place - a little pricey”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 23, 2012

this place is a little pricey for what it is. you can get the same food and at the same level of quality at other places around antigua without spending as much.

that being said, it still isn't very expensive at all. and the food is nice. the atmosphere is all very 'manufactured' and not very authentic. but it is comfortable and pleasant.

“Best guacamole ever!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 16, 2012

This is a wonderful upscale restaurant in and upscale hotel. The restaurant is open air with a beautiful wood ceiling and garden setting. We ate lunch here as a break from the busyness of the central square. Our food was beautifully presented and delicious. Service was wonderful. I would not recommend this white tablecloth restaurant for small children.
