I've been to The Tavern at Harbor Square many times over the years and it's still a great spot for a casual meal. It's not haute-cuisine certainly, but everything I've had has been good, the service is always attentive and friendly, and it's also a dog friendly place, if you're traveling with your pet (dogs are welcome to stay at the outer edge of tables outside; when we were there, just about all of these tables had a four-legged friend sleeping by their families' feet). This time we wanted a quick meal before boarding the ferry home and since it was a little chilly that day we both opted for the clam chowder. I ordered a cup, but wished it was a bowl - it was excellent. The fried oysters were also very yummy. Order a basket of rolls to go with it and you have a very satisfying meal. Filling, tasty and inexpensive too.
