I've always popped into the Crown for lunch or a little late night entertainment. The new open air feeling has made the R&C a more enjoyable dining experience. I love the big windows and friendly staff!

This was such an awesome place 30 years ago....amazing food during the day with a great night life. Now it's just long in the tooth with mediocre food and a shabby interior.

Tasty chowder and appetizers. Dinners just fair (salmon overcooked). Great location and good place to sit and enjoy a drink.

There are a lot of great places to eat in Nantucket and I am sure many people will pass this joint off as a tourist trap since it is a few steps from the Steamship terminal in downtown Nantucket - but in all seriousness this pub has a top-notch atmosphere, especially at night.

The food here is very affordable and decent - my wife and I enjoyed an excellent order of steamed littlenecks and I also had a great french onion grilled cheese sandwich. The pub features live music on some nights as well as karaoeke - which seemed to attract a lot of people into the place for a Thursday night. Drink prices are a little high during the evening hours - but that is typical for many of the late night places on the island.

If you are looking for a decent meal that won't cost too much (a rarity on the island), then Rose & Crown should be a prime target on your stay. If you go for lunch, you can easily catch the Island's Wave Jitney to Jettie's Beach or Madeket since the pick-up spots are literally across the street.
