We enjoyed stopping here to pick up some food for a picnic lunch while biking around Nantucket. It's only about a 10 minute bike ride from Cisco Beach and is close to the Cisco Brewery, and not far off the Cisco bike path. They have a good variety and large store for something outside the downtown area. They also have a selection of gifts.

We love Bartlett's Farm. It's really a glorified market that serves prepared foods. They also have a area where you can buy beautiful plants. In this area where the plants are, sometimes they will have a band, which is so cool. It's a fun place to hang out. The grocery items are very pricey, but it's worth a trip to see what they are offering. They also sell wine and they have a very nice selection! Oh, and also, the employees are all very friendly and will go out of their way to help you.

I have visited Bartlett's for about 30 years. It is really a grocery store, produce market, garden center and take-out deli more than a restaurant, although there are outdoor tables there. I loved the open-spaced vending area they used to have, with many locals manning the check-outs, and very young Bartletts offering advice on the produce. They have morphed into a very large enterprise, so are transformed. I still like to visit for their excellent, outstanding, exceptional produce. On Fridays (late afternoon), they offer take-out chickens with two sides. They seem expensive, but last us(a couple) for more than two nights, and are really delicious. We always get one when we are on the island. They offer a variety of programs and events, so it's worth checking out what is going on there.

Bartlett's is a pleasant biking destination. They also have a farm truck in town, and this year(2013) had a store in town as well. There also was a fish truck parked at the main store this past summer, at least some of the days of the week.

I picked strawberries as a little girl at Bartlett's Farm and it has been fun to watch the farm continue to expand while staying true to its roots/mission. It is now a good sized supermarket with incredible produce as well as a good gluten free section for Celiacs.

It has a friendly, positive vibe and I like coming here for fresh fruits/vegies as well as to support local farming!

If Bartlett Farm is offering a dinner that may coincide with your stay on nantucket, do not hesitate. We were fortunate enough to make a reservation in advance ( I had read about this on-line) for dinner. It is an open seating type , very large Farm Table setting. We brought our own wine, which I would encourage. They say you can buy it at the Farm,( some local wines) but the store closes at 6:00PM and the dinner starts at 6:00PM prompt. So if you want wine, bring it. The food was great . From the two different selectins of salads to the Mushroom Rissoto balls and the Rack of Lamb. All was served on time to everyone at the table. The staff were pleasant and we were also lucky to be seated around quite a few fun and interesting people.
If your a Yoga fan, they also have Yoga classes in what was once a hayloft. Great instructers and a nice place to get your 'practice' in.
They also have what is a small grocery shop with much of the produce and meats produced local. A bit pricey, but well worth it all.
So from the dinner to the local produce and Yoga classes, it is not to be missed.
