In a room above their farmstand, Bartlett Farm serves a Saturday night farm-to-table dinner. The high-ceilinged room is both modest and glamorous, with tiny lights along the beams and plenty of candles. The menu, which is served with wine is to-die-for, and the wait staff, hostess and cook introduce themselves and basically spoil you. The long table was a chorus of oohs and ahhs as we sampled each course.
I don't usually have a budget for eating out at fancy restaurants, and when I saw the price online ($55.) I gasped, but I was on vacation and had already decided I wanted to support the Farm in some way, so I came and now I will include this dinner in my future visits to the Island.
I only wish it were possible for all of us to eat this fresh every day. Then, what a different country we'd be!
