“Glorious Chic Beachside Restaurant”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 6, 2013 via mobile

Have a drink first sitting in comfortable chaos and sofas with fire-pit tables before dining to catch the sunset.
A romantic, but cool vibe. Loved the pork belly appetizer.

“Nantucket Best Beachfront Restaurant”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 31, 2013

Views are superb. Sunsets beautiful. Probably better for lunch than dinner. Can be very noisy at night. Food expensive for value received even on Nantucket. Chef inflexible this year for substitutions and special requests. Staff courteous and service generally good. Not to be missed.

“$6 bottles of wine for $13 per glass. no thanks.”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 28, 2013

A promise of a beautiful sunset with friends who were visiting the island for the first time was the only thing that convinced me to come back again after several unfortunate lunches with my friends involving a frumpy wine waiter who clearly needs to study a second language or travel to Europe.
Our friends were astonished that the Sauvignon Blanc they pour by the glass (at a hefty $13) is a wine that they buy in CT for $6 per bottle. And it tastes exactly like that: a $6 bottle of wine from Chile.
After reading the reviews below it would seem that the Galley has decided that their view will do the job, and food, quality and service can be put on the back burner. There are way too many restaurants on that island to voluntarily be robbed blind here. This is not a good long term plan

“Great beach setting....”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 24, 2013 via mobile

Cocktails on the beach were fun. We waited about 30 minutes past our reservation time. Food was good but overpriced....halibut was tasty as was the veal but both were very expensive at over $30 each.
Service was decent....good roasted peach dessert. Best part is the setting.

“Beautiful view”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 15, 2013

Eating outside on the beach for lunch is a gorgeous and beautiful way to spend an afternoon eating, drinking and talking with friends. Food is good, but not special, however you will need to stop by an ATM.
