Quindesential old school hospitality at it's finest, Price fixe "dinner only" Menu changes daily If you want to feel as if you have your own private chef, make reservations to dine at The Company of the Cauldron. Located in the heart of Nantucket's Historic District, the abundant charm of this small red building with ivy-covered windows invites you to enter. Inside the doorway massed flowers greet you. Just beyond, tables glow softly, lit only by candles. The kitchen is open and can be seen from the dining room. If there is a scale of 1-10 this is a 50! They know what they are doing and between the fantastic rustic environment, effortless and perfect service-- it only adds to the fantastic food experience. The lobster was the best I've had...and I've had a lot. Don't miss this one. This is clearly the best restaurant on Nantucket.

The reservation required well in advance is worth it. Interesting business model -- two seatings only, prix fixe menu published that week, and limited wines by the glass (so if you're not up for a bottle or 1/2 bottle of fairly expensive wine...) But the meal was really, really delicious! Pricey and worth it!

The food was good, but we were only offered one option for dinner on Christmas Stroll weekend. If you didn't like beef ......

This restaurant has great food, exceptional service and a wonderful romantic atmosphere. The menu, seating times and prices are fixed. We have consistently had very good delicious food at this restaurant and it is always the highlight of our dining experience during Christmas Stroll Weekend. Their wine list is good, but pricey (least expensive red was $75+), not much in the middle price range. Not sure if this was due to the end of the season supply? However, we will certainly return to this restaurant as it always delivers on a great dining experience.

A beautiful atmosphere in a romantic and cozy space, Company of the Cauldron is intimate and special. We chose to dine on a Thursday night after reviewing the dinner options for each night (one set menu is posted for each night of the week, with each course set). Reservations are a must as this is a small restaurant. Every table was booked when we went, which was a weekday evening in late September. The wine list is extensive, but I thought a tad bit expensive. However, our meal was absolute perfection, each course more delicious than the previous. The filet mignon? It just melted in your mouth like butter - I've never had better in my life. And the creme brulee was heavenly - best. dessert. ever.
