Description: Dune, new to Nantucket in 2009, is a creation of Michael Getter, formerly of 21 Federal and American Seasons restaurants. The décor in our three distinct dining rooms is a blend of sophisticated elegance and soothing comfort. Along with our exotic quartzite bar and charming patio we offer an extensive selection of handcrafted cocktails, wines, spirits and cordials along with offering full lunch, dinner and dessert menus. The ever changing menu showcases an innovative selection of the finest in seasonal local produce, fish and meats from regional farms and select purveyors. During the summer season we serve lunch and dinner daily. Bar opens at 5:00pm every day.

Consistently great food. Upscale and sleek atmosphere, but be sure to sit downstairs. My 5 x at Dune. Not a great place for families, but they have seating upstairs. Outdoor seating is available too. Wine list is great. We had the fluke, which was great. A little disappointed in the appetizer choices. Ordered a salad with smoked peaches, which I did not like at all. Smoke flavor on the peaches was overpowering, but my husband loved it. Expensive, but not as pricey as other restaurants on Nantucket. Good size portions.

Lovely space-honored our reservation on a busy Friday evening. The menu is small and varied with tempting options in all categories. Nice wine selections and a very contented local/visitor crowd made us happy we'd chosen it for one of our 3 nights on the island. Would gladly return!

We visited Dune for dinner and were pleasantly surprised at both the level of Service. We started with salmon sashimi and the special soft shell crab soup. Both were excellent. For main we shared the Salmon special and the Cod. The Cod was very good and the Salmon was just average. Prices are in line with the better restaurants in Nantucket. Tom was our waiter and he did a good job managing the flow of the meal.

Ate twice here last week as did other family members. Always our favorite meal. the soft shell crab over heirloom tomato salad was ethereal as was the the yellow and green tomato gazpacho. Divine. Fluke excellent as well and the beet salad is a favorite.
