“A Perfect Stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 3, 2013

Our first vist to Nantucket, and our stay at the Chapman House was wonderful from beginning to end. Hillary and Nate are terrific host - so welcoming and accommodating. The inn has a wonderful location, down a cobblestone street, quiet, yet steps away from restaurants, Whaling Museum and the Wharf. This property is impeccably maintained. Breakfast was wonderful, coffee, teas, breads, bagels, homemade muffins, granola, yogurt, juice, and fresh fruit. Coffee and teas and fresh baked cookies were a nice treat in the afternoons. We would definitely go back! Thank you Hillary and Nate and all your staff for such a great experience!

Overall the room we stayed in was very clean and comfortable. It looked exactly like it did online. Our biggest issue was the heating system (or some system) was very loud and would shake the whole room when running. It keep turning on and off. So annoying. It is too bad as everything else about the Chapman house was great. We were there for a relaxing weekend and it sounded like a train was running right under our room. Not what we were envisioning.

We would like to extend our sincerest apologies! It is our goal to provide each of our guests with the best possible Nantucket experience and we feel terribly that this guest left our property with negative feelings. Reading this review came as a real surprise to us as it was the first that we had heard of this noise issue. Though we wish we had been notified of the problem before this review was posted, we were thankful to be given the opportunity to correct it quickly.

From the moment we arrived, I knew that I had chosen the best place to stay on the island. The decor throughout the inn and the rooms was modern, yet comfortable...it was exactly what I was hoping for. What was even better than the decor and place itself was the service. I felt like I was staying at a friend's home and was constantly asked if I needed anything. Breakfast on the patio wasn't so shabby either.

Thanks for making it such a great stay!

It was our first time staying at the Chapman House. Our usual hotel was booked up and we lucked out. We had a great stay during Wine Festival weekend. Nate, the inn keeper, was so welcoming and accommodating. The decor is very appealing, the breakfast is healthy and satisfying, and the beds are so comfy! Nice outdoor seating area and common areas. Rooms are small (typical for the island) but well appointed. Location is great - walk to town and some beaches. We cannot wait to return.

Spent three nights at the Chapman House and had a great time from beginning to end. The inn keepers, Nate and Hilary, were exceptional. The inn was wonderful and conveniently located very close to downtown. The outdoor spaces on the property are very inviting and we had the opportunity to meet and socialize with a number of the other guests. Everyone was enjoying their stay.

My friends and I stayed at Chapman House for a long weekend over Labor Day and everything about the experience was beyond perfect. This B&B is brand new as of summer 2012, and it is just lovely. The location is perfect - in the town, decor is wonderful, Hilary and Nate are very helpful and friendly hosts, breakfasts are delicious, and Chapman House is reasonably priced to boot. Definitely will return again. Thanks Hilary & Nate! --Komal

We booked this B&B for 3 nights in October and although the weather was not the best while we visited The Chapman House was still lovely. The location is great too, walking distance to the ferry terminal yet still in a quiet street. The staff were very helpful and friendly even carrying our heavy bags up a couple flights of stairs to our room and giving us great suggestions, including an iPad3 for the room packed with restaurants and tips on what to see and do. The rooms are all newly refurbished and have modern fittings including an Apple TV and wifi. The breakfast was fresh and tasty, and although legally they can't have a kitchen for a hot breakfast, it was still good, with fresh scones and pastries and muesli. They also have a kind of happy hour, with guests getting a free glass of bubbly in the afternoon, which was also nice and they were always happy to keep our glasses full, well after the allocated time. The freshly baked cookies after 3pm were also sooo good too!

This place is really lovely and the staff there really do look after the guests, especially Kylie who was just so helpful and friendly and loved to have a chat.

Will definitely come back here again.
