Where do I Start? We attended a wedding in which virtually all guests (approx. 80) stayed in area Inns. Only those who stayed at the Carriage House could lay claim to the following experiences: The guest rooms and upstairs hallway were musty and moldy. The bedroom decor more closely resembled 1960's suburbia than the quaint antique/heirloom decor described on the website. Plastic red warning/reminder plaques attached virtually everywhere made you feel like you were in a Motel 6 rather than a B&B on Nantucket. (A plaque that they failed to post however was one warning that the Toilet does not flush). The breakfast was fine...if you dont mind the Inn Keeper using the opportunity to climb on his personal soap box. In addition to being forced to listen to his polical views on Bush (evil) and Kerry (savior), he was rude to his guests, (chastising one for dropping a Corn Flake on the floor - as we ate sitting in chairs). Moroever, he alluded to it being "Ok" with him that two of his guests staying in the same room were not married - although his father would not have approved. At $200 p/night I think you should be entitled to a little hospitality - don't expect it here.
