This eye pleasing hotel is situated on a quiet section of Main Street. If one takes the Hy Line Ferry from Hyannis, one simply walks straight down to 76 Main. The exterior is a wonderfully kept home while the interior is delightfully decorated in a cool and calm decor. We loved spending the evening on the couches by the gas fire . Katie baked savory and sweet scones as well as muffins which were delicious. Fresh fruit ,granola, cereal, coffee and Mighty Leaf Tea was enough to start our day. Scott and Katie, the inn keepers, always went beyond to insure that our stay was pleasant.
We look forward to returning on our next trip to Nantucket.

We were delighted to stumble upon this awesome find on Trip Advisor when booking a last minute vacation to Nantucket. The hotel looked so cute in photos that I couldn't pass up the opportunity to book a room. We lucked out as they just opened in July, so the prices are incredibly affordable for Nantucket and quite a value considering the location of the hotel and room finishings.

Located a short walk from the ferry, this hotel has everything you need and then some. We booked one of the guest house rooms as the hotel has a policy that only allows two people per room in the main house. I was a bit miffed at first since I don't really count our 4 year old as an adult, but they wouldn't budge on the policy. In the end it turned out great because the guest house rooms are super cute (exactly like the photos on the hotel website) and I imagine a little more spacious than the main house. They are decked out in the latest from West Elm from what I could see. Plus, the guest house rooms open onto a shared patio complete with a fire pit and plenty of tables. It's the perfect place to relax with a bottle of wine and enjoy a breath of fresh air or conversation with your fellow guests.

The managers are super nice and were accommodating of any request. Plus, they constantly checked in with all of the guests to ensure everyone was comfortable. It really had the feel of a bed and breakfast, which was nice. The cafe/kitchen has complimentary continental breakfast and coffee every morning, which was an added bonus.

You get a complimentary iPad to use during your stay, which is great and comes in handy for YouTube hungry toddlers. :)

I had some nitpicky things I didn't like about our room, the major issue being that the walls are very thin so you can hear conversations in the adjoining rooms and TVs as well. The outside patio area, while awesome, also attracts every guest of the hotel, which means you could be listening to people party it up right outside your room (guest house) when you want to sleep. The church bells ring every hour on the hour, all night long. If you are a heavy sleeper, great! If not, prepare to have the bells toll exactly how much sleep you're losing. :)

Our bathroom, while completely renovated and modern, was small. My 6'2" husband hit his head going in a few times. The bathroom doesn't have a window and the ventilation isn't very strong, so the room gets steamy pretty quickly, which isn't so bad until you try to use the very foggy mirrors.

The drawbacks were minor though. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat, but I'm thinking the prices are going to be far more expensive next season!

We appreciate your detailed and thoughtful review - thanks! We are pleased that you would stay at 76 Main again in a heartbeat and that you greatly enjoyed your stay despite the small "nitpicks" -- as you say -- of it being a renovated older property. Sometimes the charm of a boutique property has it's challenges! We are very glad you found our Guest House rooms accommodating for your young family, which was certainly our intent. Please do come again the next time your heart (or your flip flops) draw you back to Nantucket!

Modern decor in an old building. Close to everything in downtown. Large comfy rooms. Nice outdoor area with gas heaters and byo bar. They provide mixers and ice. The innkeepers, Katie and Scott, are a young and friendly couple who are always accessible to answer your questions and guide you around. An i pad provided during the stay There is no elevator. No problem if on the first floor or the patio rooms. Rooms do not have individual a/c control. First floor room can lack privacy as the sound carries over easily.

We are so pleased that you enjoyed our great location and amenities, as well as the service of our staff. It's true that our hotel (located in a former sea captain's home) does not have an elevator, which is true for most boutique properties on the island. Please come visit us again the next time you head north!

Our first trip to Nantucket was made extra special with our stay at 76 Main. The location was just perfect to everything! Rooms were lovely. Breakfast yummy and the availability of having the kitchen available for snacks and tea/coffee was delightful. I wouldn't hesitate to use this facility again. Look forward to checking out their other locations.

This was our first trip to Nantucket and first time staying in an inn type hotel (Botique Hotel). Can not say enough good things about this Hotel. It is run by Scott & Katie who were extremely friendly and accomodating. They made us feel like welcomed guests in their home from the moment we arrived. Fresh baked muffins and scones at breakfast. Guest social by the fire out on the patio where you could meet other guests, relax, compare dining experiences, etc... Location was convenient to town and many restaurants. The BEST stay we have ever experienced. Absolutely would recommend this hotel/inn.

We have always loved Nantucket and after we had our son, wanted him to experience it with us. So we looked for a place that would be roomy enough for our little family, that was close to town and updated/chic. 76Main was perfect.

The guesthouse room we stayed in was big enough for a crib that could be tucked away in another part of the room, so our son didn't have direct sight lines to us. That way he would sleep through the night.

The courtyard was fantastic. We were able to have a nice bottle of wine, sit outside and eat and chat with other guests at night when we didn't have a sitter.

And Scott/Katie (GMs) were great. They were very helpful, even giving us a room to put our son down after check out.

Definitely recommend this place for young families.

Room Tip: Guesthouses are idea for kids in the younger age range.

My husband and I chose 76 Main for our no-kid 3 night getaway. We were so happy when we walked in, it was exactly what we wanted. Perfectly situated in town, we were welcomed with modern, beautiful accommodations. Our stay was only enhanced by the fun people who stayed there (this place is like a magnet for fun people only), and the awesome people who run the place, Katie and Scott. The hotel happy hour is a huge draw, where guests hang out until dinner, and everyone is just so friendly. We have vacationed all over the world, and this place rivals any ocean inn in Mykonos or Positano. Love, love, love!!!

Room Tip: The rooms on the courtyard might be a bit loud and not the most private, but guests don't really...
