“Eh...ambiance and not much else”
Reviewed July 22, 2014 via mobile

Nantucket is not known for its restaurants, and Pazzo is a perfect example of this phenomenon. You dine out in Nantucket when you want a break from dining at home and looking for a little ambiance, but the cuisine isn't typically a draw. Pazzo scores high marks as far as ambiance, attaining a dimly lit, cozy atmosphere that's perfect for an intimate group. But the food. The chicken tagine (easily for two people) is a sure bet and maybe the bacon-wrapped dates. Have a cocktail and enjoy the vibe (including a good soundtrack) just don't bring an appetite.

“Nice, lively & fun”
Reviewed May 28, 2014 via mobile

We were looking for a not so stuffy venue, but one that was known to have good food & service. Pazzo's fits the bill perfectly. Go & enjoy. You'll not regret it.

“Greta food, wine and music”
Reviewed May 23, 2014 via mobile

We return whenever we are on the island. The tagine and small plates are excellent. On this visit, we sat in the lounge and enjoyed small plates and Valpolicella wine. The house made chorizo with romesco sauce, crispy duck rillettes with a fig compote, grilled artichoke with anchovies, spicy roasted clams and Valpolicella wine were all fantastic.

We were lucky enough to be there when the gypsy band broke out into song. We stayed a while longer and enjoyed them with some Pinot Grigio by the glass. As always, a great night!

“Good food, great fun.”
Reviewed May 17, 2014

Although pot so he's Italian for crazy, the influence in the food is largely middle eastern, which was fine by us. There's a wide variety of mezzes and small plates, and their signature dish is a tagine. The vibe is very upbeat, the bar is a happy scene, and on the night we were there, we were fortunate enough to be entertained by a gypsy band. They began the evening with four musicians, but by the time we finally left, at least 5 to 7 more people had joined the fun. We enjoyed the beet salad, the Middle Eastern meatballs, the soft homemade chorizo with romanesco sauce and the crispy rillettes with a fig compote. Accompanied by a Russian River Pinot Noir, it was just enough to keep us perfectly happy. The staff is adorable and accommodating, even if they might be a bit unsure of themselves. All in all, we had a wonderful evening and will definitely return.

“Pazzo, Not a Crazy Choice.”
Reviewed April 18, 2014

This one of the "Marco" restaurants - Lola 41, Lola Burger etc. - on Nantucket. As his empire extends you always worry about quality and ambience - but so far not to worry. Marco has certainly learned to make dining fun. All of his restaurants have a nice "feeling" of being active and used - with a typically vibrant bar scene too. On top of this the food is pretty darn good and make these restaurants some of our Nantucket favorites.

We've tended to steer clear of Pazzo because it gets noisy, so last Friday we were delighted to find the noise more under control. The chicken here is a must have, but we chose to do pasta and were delighted with the preparation and the quality of the delivered dish, we split a salad to begin, and you can too.

This is not "fine" dining, but a restaurant the does a good job with service, has high quality dinners and is fun to be at. I'd call the pricing reasonable.
