Visited the Wauwinet in mid-october and it was fantastic. We had the place, more or less, to ourselves. The weather was a bit cooler of course but one of the days was in the mid 60s and we were able to spend the afternoon relaxing on the beach.
The room was quiet and comfortable. The staff were all so helpful and courteous from the moment we arrived until the moment we waved goodbye.
We really enjoyed the lobster tour and took advantage of the DVD rental and warm popcorn. Dinner at Toppers was luxurious and breakfast each morning provided the perfect start for a day of exploring the island.
I don't know what it is like during high season but the hot rates cool dates package we booked couldn't have been better and would totally visit in October again!More
