My husband and I found this wonderful inn for our honeymoon 12 years ago and cannot stay away. Our room is bright and cheerful and has a view of the water. Breakfast is fresh fruit cup with homemade granola and delicious pasteries. The coffee is excellent and available all day. Sally is a wonderful hostess, warm, friendly and ever ready with suggestions for dinner or activities. We LOVE this place.

I have been coming to Nantucket as a photographer every year since 1978; and have stayed at several Inns during my trips to the island. Around twelve years ago I checked in to Cliff Lodge for the first time; and it has been my island home ever since. Memories of the high level of care that is put into every aspect of a guest's stay, from the warm welcome from Innkeeper Sally Beck upon arriving, to the unique furnishings and highest level of cleanliness and comfort of each individual room, the dining room and parlour; the gernerous communal breakfast and afternoon tea; and watching the sunset from the Inn's Widow Walk, stay with me until I can return. Nearby, up Cliff Road, is a short walk to Step Beach, Something Natural's picnic tables in an orchard for lunch; and the Madaket bike path; and downtown Nantucket is also close by. What I most appreciate and cherish is the sense of feeling at home that Sally and her husband, Tim, the housekeeper, Winnie and the owners, create through their kindness, always interesting conversation and evident pride in hosting each quest at Cliff Lodge.

Sally is a happy hostess and her B&B is delightful. My room was tiny but chock full of character and amenities. The scones are locally made and absolutely delicious.

Cliff Lodge has bright, cheery rooms of all shapes and sizes, and Sally, the innkeeper, makes everyone feel at home. A short walk to downtown Nantucket or to Brant's Point allows you to walk off the breakfast of homemade scones, muffins, and granola. Reading and relaxing nooks abound--from the tree-lined patio to the chair-bedecked widow's walk. You can have your privacy or join in the wine & cheese parties and teas that Sally hosts. Not recommended for people who have a hard time with stairs, or who want a fast paced vacation.

This was our first trip to Nantucket, and we were thrilled with our experience. The Cliff Lodge is perfectly located near the main part of town, the ferry docks, and the Brant Rock lighthouse. The innkeeper couldn't have been more pleasant and welcoming. Our room was a nice size (King size room, private bath, two cozy chairs and a fireplace) and the Inn was very clean and warm. We would absolutely visit again and would also recommend it to others as a place to stay.
