A gem of accommodations situated within this magical little Island. The Martin House is a lot like staying with friends who take pride in their home…. with clean and thoughtfully appointed rooms. Each morning, our Innkeeper Skye offers a communal and delicious breakfast that lends itself to interaction with other guests if one chooses to do so, but there are enough sweet corners to tuck yourself away with a book and the your own meditations. There is an enchanting widow’s walk that provides a great view of the Island and is an amenity that shouldn’t be missed. The Inn is ideally located and within an easy walk to town and all its many wonderful restaurants. I am a frequent “washed ashore” who has chosen The Martin House in the past and will continue to do so again in the future as an ideal launching pad for a pilgrimage through the many outstanding culinary adventures the Island has to offer as well as for the spirit-renewing treks to pristine beaches and hiking trails that makes Nantucket such a special and sought out destination.

Our two nights at the Martin House Inn was cozy. The locations is close to town, the baking Inkeeper Skye does (scones, muffins) at breakfast and amazing cookies in the afternoon.
We loved the Widow's walk up on the roof where we enjoyed the sun set.
Skye accommodated our every need.
Thank you Skye for a wonderful stay.

We were able to take advantage of a Living Social discount for two nights at the Martin House Inn this fall. We had already checked the Trip Advisor review and read favorable things. We found them all to be true. The location is close to town in an area of similar inns and within easy walking distance to the ferries and town center. We enjoyed the intimate atmosphere which fosters conversation among guests. Our innkeeper, Skye, was quick to offer suggestions and provide guidebooks for walking trails and activities. Her breakfasts were phenomenal; scones two mornings in a row, delicious muffins, coffee cake warm from the oven, granola, yogurt and excellent coffee. The afternoon cookies were an unexpected treat and she made us feel welcome sitting on the porch sipping our wine and munching our cheese and crackers. Would definitely go back!

Room Tip: Room number 1 is very cozy with a double bed and windows facing the street. Traffic noise ends fairl...

What a wonderful cozy home away from home. We were greeted like old friends and felt right at home. The cookies, for snack time and the wonderful scones & muffins, baked by Skye, were the perfect centerpiece for a delicious breakfast, in this beautiful home. I loved the Widow's Walk, up on the roof, where I enjoyed breath taking views of Nantucket Harbor and Village at sunrise and sunset. Well worth the climb!! Skye was generous with her extensive knowledge of the Island and accommodated our every need!! The location is perfect for easy walking to beaches, shopping, dining and history!! More treasures of this Island are a short cab ride away. All info was readily available for us. Thanks to Skye, for a fabulous stay!! She made our trip, so much better!

Room Tip: This lovely old house, had some limits for electricity consumption, so be aware that you have to be...

We spent a magical weekend at the Martin House Inn on Nantucket. The innkeeper Skye has the perfect touch in making her guests feel at home while attending to all the details that make a stay wonderful. And the baking she does (scones, muffins at breakfast and amazing cookies in the afternoons) is incredible. Highly recommended.

Thie Martiin House Inn is quintessentially Nantucket, with history well preserved. Skye outdoes herself - she is an amazing baker and most gracious innkeeper. Breakfasts are delicious and her afternoon cookies a gastronomic treat! The other staff are excellent. A most wonderful stay and highly recommended!

My husband and I celebrated our 37th wedding anniversary at the Martin House, and we were not disappointed.
The inn is very charming, and our room was perfect. Skye is a wonderful hostess, and made us feel right at home. She gave us pointers on places to see, and restaurants to frequent, all of which were "right on".
It is close enough to the ferry, that you can walk, so it will save on taxi fare, as well.

We would recommend the Martin House, if you're looking for a cozy, friendly atmosphere, with a great porch, and a spectacular widows walk for star-gazing or watching the sun set.
