Certificate of Excellence

We stayed at the Union Street Inn for our 25th wedding anniversary and it was wonderful - the Inn is absolutely beautiful - the bedding so exceptional - haven't slept that good in a long time - beautiful garden where you can enjoy a full breakfast which were so delicious - the Inn is a short walk to Main Street and all the fabulous restaurants - but the most exceptional thing about the Inn is the wonderful staff - Ryan, Jocelyn and Amanda who go above and beyond to make your stay the most perfect it could be - they were so caring and attentive - made all our reservations for dinner - anything they could do for you they did - Deb and Ken the owners recently did major renovations and did an exceptional job - this was one of the best vacations ever and we cannot wait to go back - anyone visiting Nantucket should make their visit the best by far by staying at the Union Street Inn

Room large (for 1700s house, which IS the Nantucket experience), wonderful full breakfasts, great assistance and support by innkeepers. Sweets in the afternoon. Short walk to Main Street, couldn't be better. Daily weather reports and activities under the door. Very large, beautiful garden for breakfast, was a popular spot for guests to enjoy in the afternoon. We had Room 9, first door on the right as you enter. My husband is 6'4"and the shower was fine for him. This is unusual in a house of this vintage. Absolutely delightful. Recommend without hesitation.

Room Tip: Look at the pics and see what fits your needs. No bad rooms here.

We will recommend the Union Street Inn to all of our friends who are planning trips to Nantucket. The decor is just wonderful...everywhere in the building. The patio was so nice, and the breakfasts we had were super.
The staff people and Ken were very helpful and always with a smile when they answered our qustions.
The location was perfect for us....just a three minute walk to Main Street and all the neat shops and restaurants.
We hope to come back there next year!

Room Tip: We liked our first floor room 1, nice to not have to use the stairs, and there are 3 or 4 rooms on t...

This inn was built in 1760 but was completely remodeled this year. We had room 9, a king suite. It featured a small sitting room with wing backed chairs and a TV, separated from the bedroom by French doors. The bedroom was spacious, with the original plank floors, large fireplace, 4 poster bed and beautiful furnishings. The linens were all immaculate white and the bed was perfectly comfortable.

The bath was completely modern but with fixtures chosen for historical charm. 2 robes are hanging waiting for you.

We were warmly greeted and given a tour when we dropped our luggage off after getting off the ferry. We were surprised since checkin was a 3. Oh no, we were told, we can have your room ready in an hour. Early check-in was so nice. It seemed someone was always asking after our comfort. There was even a basket of umbrellas by the front door if you forgot yours. Rooms have A/C,

The breakfast is cooked to order and we both loved it. Generous and creative offerings, as well as the standards. Coffee is available all day, as well as tea, water, etc. In the afternoon tea is served, iced or hot, with cakes and cookies. Delicious! We enjoyed dining on the patio, in a nice green oasis just steps from the bustle of the town's streets.

We can't wait to go back! The price of this room was among the lowest on the island that week. Tremendous bargain.

Room Tip: We had a room in the front. Noise does not bother us, but if you are sensitive to it, a room in the...

We visited for the first time the first week of June. We loved the inn! The location was excellent, and within easy walking distance of restaurants, shops, etc... I understand it had just undergone a redo, and everything looked crisp and new. The staff was warm and quite engaging offering recommendation on restaurants and helping us with ferry arrangements. The breakfast was quite tasty each morning. I had read other reviews with negative comments about room #3 being noisy. While we're fairly heavy sleepers it wasn't particularly bothersome to us, I could see how it would bother light sleepers as it's right by the front door and had windows on the street where you do hear cars and people going by. Overall, though, I wouldn't let this keep me from returning, and we'll definitely be back!

Loved everything about the inn. The room and common areas were beautiful as they had just been remodeled. The gardens snd outdoor area were very nice as well. Frette linens and Malin & Goerz bath amenities were a nice touch as well. Breakfast was great and the staff, especially Amanda, were very helpful and attentive. Last but not least, the location was extremely convenient!

Returned to Union Street Inn on May 21st for 5 days for my annual visit...and as great as it has been in the past...it got even better with a beautiful renovation and new gardens adjacent to the outdoor patio....a beautiful and tasteful renovation that surprisingly more perfect than it has been in the past....it feels like my second home when I am there.
Great hosts and staff make this an ideal place to stay....I was caught in the rain twice and had 2 pair of wet pants hanging in my bathroom to dry...after returning in the afternoon I found that the chambermaid had taken the pants (on their own) and put them in the drier and folded them ...and were sitting on my bed upon my return.
The gourmet breakfasts are just the icing on the cake.
This is definately the place to stay on Nantucket....hope to get back again this Fall.
