Enjoyed walking along the beach. Unfortunately, it was rainy and cool the day we were there, but there was just enough surf that if it had been sunny, I would definitely have gone in. It didn't seem as rough as Cisco or Surfside and there was a lifeguard on duty.

Lots of sand - a very long beach with fairly calm waters. Great for families. No services at the beach nearest food is a few blocks away

Find the Bluff Walk. It is hidden, but public. You get to walk the bluff in public right of way through the back yards of mansions. Very strange, but google "Sconset bluff walk" to see how to get there. Not to be missed. Bertie the cat is likely to greet you at some point and walk with you for a ways.

If you're up to the 4:30am jaunt to the beach, this is the place to catch a beautiful sunrise. You may even see a few sea lions.

Siasconset is an idyllic place. I have visited Nantucket on two other occasions and hadn't stopped in Siasconset. The houses and neighborhoods are CHARMING! We enjoyed our walk down to the beach and then when we arrived on the beach we discovered a very large artistic display of shells and other beach curiosities that had washed onto the beach. This included driftwood, sea purses, fossilized shards, etc. Apparently, the artist spent the entire summer building the amazing display. We got our information from some local residents who were also viewing the display.
