Excellent beach for families! The water is warm and the waves are minimal so kids can enjoy their time in the water without worrying about currents or waves crashing on them.

Absolutely terrible. You wait a couple of hours for a stone cold crab cake. Deplorable ripoff. They even lock the toilets. Worst place on the island.

The waves here are some of the best on the island. Very relaxing place to be although if you have kids you may be a little wary of them in the water (there are however lifeguards on duty in the summer). There is a big parking lot and a hut at the top that serves food and has bathrooms and places to change. One of my favorite beaches in Nantucket.

An easy ride from town, about 15 minutes. Free and relaxing. Nice amenities including a shower and charging station for your phone. Note also there is food service here and its the BEST food I've ever had at a remote beachside stand

If you like to go to the beach with as little "baggage" as possible this beach has what you need. A snack bar, bathrooms, a little shop if you have to have a boogie board, parking and a food truck! Also, I have to give a lot of credit to the life guards on the beach. It was an extremely rough day on the water and they were as diligent as can be. They knew where the rip tides were and watched everyone very carefully. We witnessed several rescues and it was very comforting knowing they were there looking out for everyone.
