I stayed for one night at the Holiday Inn Express in Auburn as I was attending a wedding in the area. The front desk staff were courteous and competent. The rooms were clean and typical of Holiday Inns. The breakfast in the morning was fine, complimentary and adequate. I had no problems, no complaints, and I thought the room was a decent value for the money we spent. The hotel is also about 3 minutes away from the Auburn Mall, which was incredibly convenient. All in all, this is a good one.

As other reviewers have noted, this place is located inches ( ok, maybe yards) from a major interstate and the noise level can cause sleep deprivation...as was the case for me...next morning after a call to the front desk requesting a quieter location we were moved to the other side of the hotel...staff were very courteous and professional, well trained by HI...they moved our bags while we were visiting nearby Mass Audubon nature preserve in Worchester.....( a really special place...well worth visiting if you are in the area). Second night slept like a rock...the bedding was the best i have ever slept on...free breakfast was more than adequate...we asked for a late checkout and without hesitation were given an extra 2 hrs!

Room Tip: ask for rooms on the quiet side of the hotel...there is a big difference in the noise level!

Just got back from a one night stay at this hotel. We stayed there for a wedding nearby. We got the King Suite Room on the 4th floor. Nice room, spacious, clean, worth the $ that we paid.
We took advantage of the free breakfast they had in the morning, very average. They had some bagels, juice, coffee, cereals milk yogurt. They had these small egg & cheese omelets that weren't very good. tasted very manufactured, but other than that, food was fine.
Only reason I didn't give it a "5" rating was because the front desk seemed a little disorganized and did not know much about the shuttles to the wedding we were attending. We ended up driving ourselves only to find out there was a second shuttle taking people!!

Room Tip: Get the king suite, its worth the upgrade

Stayed here for what became a 10 hours stay due to plane delays and was surprised at the overall level of the hotel. The interior was kept near spotless & the overall room was much nicer than the typical HI Express. The room was large & featured a mini kitchenette set up, and one of the nicest bathrooms I’ve seen in an Express. It felt much more like a room at a Hilton Garden Inn or other slightly higher line chain.

The night manager was great, she was very friendly especially having to deal with three of us checking in at 1 AM. Usually you get someone barely awake running a desk at that time but she really made us feel welcome.

Only negative is what was mentioned in prior reviews, the hotel is very close to the freeway, do try to get a room on the sides away from it. Also it’s on a weird lot so you have to drive around a furniture store to get to it. (A little disorienting at night) I definitely would return if I’m back in the area.

Room Tip: Pick on a side away from the freeway

We've stayed here before and unfortunately have no reason to return since our son graduated from college. This hotel has for the past 5 years been consistently at the top of its game. Helpful. friendly staff, clean well appointed rooms and a great breakfast.
