Stopped in by chance after walking by the place and got a semi-private tour of the museum by one of the founders of the place and learned a tremendous amount both about Cyrus Dallin and the surrounding area. Definitely worth the time.

This house-museum is in the center of town. Someone driving from Cambridge to Lexington and Concord might enjoy a short time there, followed by a cool frozen yoghurt across the street. The 77 and 79 buses stop nearby and the Minuteman Bicycle Trail passes in front of it. Not a whole-day outing but a pleasant way to spend an hour.

His name is not familiar to many people, but, his sculptures are all over Boston, Arlington and Salt Lake City. His "Appeal to the Great Spirit" in front of the Museum of Fine Art, is a classic example of his work. He is responsible for the North End's Paul Revere Statue.
The Cyrus Dallin Art Museum in Arlington, MA is a gem of a museum. A must see! Cyrus lived and had his studio in Arlington.
Support this growing museum....enjoy its works, learn about a local artist!!
