Interesting private collection from a couple who moved from VIC to Norfolk back to 1980's, great research work on Pitcairn settlers, especially interesting to read the hand written books by the owner of museum in the very first room when you enter the museum, the books give you a lot of inside folk story you will not get from other venues, if someone is into family tree and genealogy, you will love reading these books. Give yourself at least 2 -4 hours to go through the museum.

You spend as little or as much time as you like wandering around the museum. There is an amazing amount of history stored in this maze of rooms. Brings back a lot of memories from my childhood. There is an amazing amount of information documented in binders for you to sit and read and gain an appreciatin for the history of the Pitcairn Island and the various settlements which have occurred on Norfolk Island. The $10 entry fee was good value for money. Don't leave it to the end of your holiday like we did before venturing there.

Fantastic way to make us felt somewhere on time, not somewhere but at the time when the history took place! We felt involved as those who were living at Norfolk. It left in our minds and hearts a mark that we will never forget.

There is so much to see in this museum that you should allow a few hours, particularly if you want to read some of the compiled information.
