I ate here twice and found that, despite there being no vegetarian options on the menu, the head waiter was au fait with what was required and negotiated a colourful and sustaining stir-fry from the kitchen. This came with a potato dish and mushroom sauce. The second time I ate there there was much less imagination and the sauce contained fish. I was not told about this until it was too late, so I was less than happy at the deception. Surroundings like an English pub and good local beer on sale but very expensive by Scottish standards. Try the delicious local tap water (economical Scottish money-saving tip...) Young waitresses very cheery and attentive. Head waiter looked tired? Vegetarians: try the pizza place round the corner - terrific value and filling.
