“Excellent!”
Reviewed November 4, 2011

Stayed here for eight nights in october 2011 with my son while visiting relatives & sightseeing in Maine & Boston. Ideally located for both providing you have a car. This hotel was excellent & far exceeded my expectations for a budget chain hotel. We got a prefferential rate for booking 8 nights so only paid $75 plus taxes per room per night.
Rooms were spotless & the beds were the most comfortable I have ever slept in! (Made getting up in the morning really difficult!).
Free Wi-fi was available in the room & having travelled from the UK the iron, hairdryer & refrigerator were useful additions.
Staff were friendly & on the whole heipful.
This hotel offers a really good self service buffet breakfast with a wide selection ranging from eggs, cerials, waffles, bagels, fruit, yoghurt, pancakes, croisant, toast & more!
The swimming pool & gym were an added bonus which my son took advantage of following his big breakfast!
Chili's Restaurant is conveniently situated at the end of the car park serving a good & descent selection of food & drinks. (Handy if you fancy an alcoholic drink & dont want to drive) & there is a gas station on the opposite side of the road open 24/7 where you can purchase sandwiches/snacks/drinks/ or Dunkin Dounuts/coffee etc.
If you are planning to visit Boston, I suggest you drive to & park at Anderson RTC (railway station) ($4 all day) & jumping the train ($19 for two adults) as it is cheaper, quicker & less hastle than driving & parking in Boston.
Overall I would strongly recomend this hotel for tourists & buisness alike.

Room Tip: You're never going to get a scenic view if you stay here! Our room on the second floor overlooke...

We stopped here for one night on the way south to the Cape. I felt it was a bit expensive for what you get but the breakfast was very good and everything was clean. There are also a couple of restaurants a few minutes walk through the car park.

I had a biggish room here for 5 days, and it was fairly well insulated from the noise of the rooms next door. The room was moderately clean--I deduct some points because the hairdryer was not mounted to the wall securely and flopped around, the closet doors squeaked loudly (I asked for a handyman, and he fixed it), and the maids took my metal paring knife, along with a plate, and some plastic eating utensils I had neatly left beside the little microwave, and I gather they just threw it all away. I also did not get full maid service one day--the bed was just sort of pulled up messily. The maids did not seem to speak English so it was difficult communicating with them.

The other thing that really bugged me was that the breakfast room had 2 TVs loudly broadcasting FOX news, which I hate. When I took my food back to my room to watch something more open-minded, I found that the station selection that La Quinta had available did not include MSNBC. I looked up the owners of this chain and it seems to be Blackrock, and I really don't like this sort of biased "programming" of people's minds toward the conservative political view.

The bed, however, was extremely comfortable! And the wireless internet worked well. No coffee available during the day :-(

Employees were friendly, however, nothing could make up for the horrible beds. It isn't worth the $100 per night that I had to pay for it.

Room Tip: Don't choose this hotel until they replace these horrible beds.

Granted, this was a very inexpensive stay (with my dog), but I was expecting it to be nicer after staying recently in a beautiful, newly built La Quinta in the Germantown area of Memphis. This one is old and tired. My "pet friendly" room smelled vaguely of urine. On the plus side, the staff was very nice and the bathroom was clean.

The hotel is old and dirty. It smells like last week's socks. The beds (we looked at 3 rooms before finally finding one that was okay.) all sagged in the middle and I could barely sleep. The staff was pleasant and helpful enough but there's nothing they could do to make this dump feel any better. Choose anyplace else in that area.

Room Tip: Stay away.

I recently stayed here (September 11-13th) and was bitten by bed bugs. When we told the manager he was supposed to credit one of the nights and never did! I would not recommend staying here!
