Visited Sal's last week after not having gone for quite some time. Purchased a Living Social savings coupon ($12 for $25 at lunch) and was very disappointed in the change in the menu at lunch (offerings are very different from before and much more $$). My favorite wrap, the Beef Boursin Wrap for about $8, is no longer on the menu and all of the sandwiches are now $10 or more. Hubby and I split the Signature Salad ($9) which was quite good but everything else went down hill. I ordered the eggplant parm with rigatoni ($11) and hubby, the eggplant sandwich ($10). I've never had "tough" eggplant before and both of our eggplants were tough. Thickly breaded and overcooked. I'm a fan of sweeter sauce and the red sauce is rather salty here. For $38 (including tip without the savings coupon), I would definitely not return for this price and quality. Bread and service was good though. Rethink the pricing and lunch selections please and we may be back.
