OK - I admit we go here a lot because my wife loves their hamburgers. She always orders them rare and they never disappoint. I don't eat meat but there's always something interesting on the menu for me and it always tastes fresh. If it's not crowded go sit at the bar. One caution they sometimes have live music and it's right next to the bar, so not easy on conversation when that happens. Ah back to food and beverage. The have their own beer, a pretty good grouping along with some specials and a mix of guest brews as well. The service is usually pretty good but sometimes variable depending on where you sit. They do have wonderful 'endless' french fries although I have yet to order more than one refill, the portions are good, a lot of the recipes use locally sourced food, another plus.

We have never been disappointed by the beer or the food here. We had fish and chips that were lightly battered and cooked just right and eggplant parm which was one of the daily specials. Server was friendly with just the right amount of attentiveness.

In a college town, there are lots of choices but not always a great deal of quality - the High Horse has one of the best burgers, if not the best burger, in town. The grass fed beef on freshly made brioche and home made pickles can't be beat - it's a little pricey and ambiance leaves a bit to be desired, but if it's a burger you're longing for, this is the place.

We were seated right away, but the wait for our food was over the top. It was at least 45 minutes. The food that finally came out was good. The atmosphere inside was dark. We were not able to sit outside as a party of six. Three burgers were ordered and were very good. The sandwiches ordered were also tasty. Skip the side of potato puffs. Very greasy.

Fresh Micro brews on tap were pretty good. I love microbreweries, and fresh beer. Velvet Nitro was extremely smooth, and Yellow a pretty tasty and smooth brew.. The Farm Burger at $14.5 was pretty expensive, and was decent, but didn't have that WOW factor I would expect from a $15 burger. It was cooked to my liking, but .. eh.. it was a burger. The bottomless fries are a nice touch, and they are pretty cook. The buffalo chicken wings were nice, crispy and tasty, but it was basically chicken wings with a side of buffalo sauce. There were no sauce cooked on the wings. They were good, but to me, that is not buffalo wings. It is chicken wings. The ambiance of this place is very dark when you first walk in, it takes a while to get adjusted. Overall, the place was decent, servers were pleasant, beer was above average, food was ok. I would go back for the fresh beers again, but might skip the food. Beers are 4.5 stars, food is 3 stars.
