$7.20, really!! Even if it was the best smoothie I've ever had, which it was not, it still would be expensive!! It had about 5 "organic" blueberries and according to the sweet counter girl that was why the price was so high - because "well, the blueberries are organic." It didn't taste very good even if they were organic.

The cafe is quaint but not very clean. Uncovered, unappetizing baked goods were sitting out with their high and mighty price tags.

I will not be returning, not sure how they have stayed open this long. :(

This is some kind of new age hippie fantasy of local and organic. The price for two bowls of soup was almost $18.00. Why it took ten to fifiteen minutes to put soup in the bowls while the place was nearly empty beats me. They said they had to toast the bread. The bread when finally delivered was toasted, but so severly that it was pretty much inedible. The soup was only okay, and the best part was they gave us a refund for the bowl that had a hair in it, no questions asked.
I will go out of my way to let people to skip this eatery.

Really top notch bread, croissants almost as good as in Paris, coffee and tea served by folks who care about local culture, local foods and farms. You can have lunch here too.

This tiny restaurant represents all the best in healthy eating and sustaining the best in natural, organic foods. The owners have relationships with farmers in the area to provide the highest quality in products.

After a couple visits to Amherst finally got to sample the delights of the Wheatberry Bakery. The best of ingredients and incredible flavors. Two of us sampled sandwiches on bread to die for, the burger, pork with a fruity apple chutney with onions, both served with the best kale chips any of us had ever eaten, and a salad of mixed fresh greens with chicken, all organic ingredients. For dessert we sampled three of the buttery, flaky, filled croissants. A real burst of flavor. A real treat that shouldn't be missed! Also, had to try the chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin cookies. The quality of ingredients was unmistakable. Owner and other staff were extremely friendly and most helpful. Is somewhat expensive, but considering the quality, is well worth the expense. If in the area again, we all agreed we would return.
