We stayed at the Calvert House on business. It was excellent and would not hesitate to recommend it. The staff was very pleasant and efficient. Our room was quite good, spacious & clean. Check out the room where the continental breakfast is served...the floor is glass revealing the ancient foundation below.

Two issues to point out...The air handler in our room ran constantly and was annoying. There was no way to turn it off. Also, if you drive, parking is $24/night! We took the shuttle, so it wasn't a problem for us. Street parking is very limited.

Dear 911Visitor:

Thank you for your feedback. I was glad that you enjoyed your stay and found the accommodations and staff to be pleasant. Thank you for your feedback on the air conditioner; I hope you had an opportunity to report this while you were here so that we fixed it. Thank you as well for your note on the valet pricing; we routinely shop other hotels and parking garages in downtown Annapolis and are confident we are priced appropriately.

Thank you for your business; we look forward to welcoming you back again.

We have stayed here many times and have never had a bad experience. Staff is polite and professional; rooms are spacious and very clean. And the location can't be beat! Valet parking is about $25/night but well worth it.

Room Tip: request a room with a view of the State House

We brought our adult children with us to experience the magic of the Naval Academy/Annapolis area. The location of the Robert Johnson House is wonderful. It is a very short walk anywhere and everywhere. The rooms are beautifully appointed with modern conveniences we all look for. The staff is extremely helpful and hidden off street valet parking is absolutely a must...even if you have an early Sunday flight out.
Looking forward to our next visit.

Room Tip: Did the Robert Johnson Queen and it was great!

We've stayed at the Historic Inns of Annapolis a number of times over many years and have always enjoyed our visits. If you are into sleek and contemporary hotel styling, the Maryland Inn isn't the place for you. However, if you enjoy the charm of a 19th century building in a beautiful town that was designed for walking, we urge you to check this hotel out. Perfect location for exploring Annapolis.

I have stayed for a total of 3 times at the Governor Calvert House and each time was a wonderful experience. Friendly staff, great property, nice rooms, and wonderful antiques. This past time I had my husband join me and, in his words, "this is the best hotel that we ever stayed at". And we travel a lot.
