This small, neighborhood bar feels like a perfect place to watch a game and have a quick meal or a drink. But unexpectedly, they have the most phenomenal crabcakes in the region. Reasonably priced and huge, you get amazing jumbo lump crabcakes or gargantuan amazing jumbo lump crabcakes. When in Annapolis, it's a must.

This is a local pub and it is obvious they have a lot of return customers. You do have to wait for a table because there are no reservations. Unfortunately there is not a good place to wait other than at the small bar. Try the pretzel crab which is excellent. We tried the hamburgers, a steak and a chicken dish--all very good.

My wife and I had lunch here on a Saturday afternoon when visiting the Maritime Museum. It was recommended by one of the employees and was within walking distance of the museum. It is a nice local pub. Fairly large menu and plenty of specials. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was very good.
We both had the crab cake sandwich and shared a plate of nachos. The portions were large.

We will visit again when we come back to Annapolis.

This is a out of the way place. Clearly a locals place a corner bar. Very narrow streets in this area so be warned. On street parking only and you may be a block away. There is outside seating under roof. Service was quick and the waiter was attentive refilling drinks and making sure we were satisfied with our meal. It is close quarters inside with few tables but I found it a friendly place. Get the crab cakes!!!

Yes, our main reason for trying Davis Pub was because we saw it on "Triple D". We were not disappointed. If you're looking for something off the beaten path give Davis Pub a try. We took the kids (9&14) and at first we felt like maybe we had maybe chosen poorly. As you enter it's clearly a locals bar. Then the wonderful staff sat us at a table in the back and welcomed us. Some locals only places frown on tourists but not these guys. They were great! The food is good and about what you'd expect from a pub. Try the crab pretzel. It's very tasty. I think they even tradmarked it!

Plenty of good places to eat in Annapolis but if you're looking for soemthing different give Davis Pub a try.
