My wife and I had a very enjoyable weekend at the Flag House Inn. It is a wonderful place to relax with unbeatable access to the Navy Academy and the Annapolis waterfront and historic district. The location and ability to park your car and leave it for the weekend makes the Flag House Inn a perfect place to stay to enjoy Annapolis.

We have been staying at The Flag House Inn since 2005. Charlotte & Bill are fabulous hosts & treat guests like family. The Inn is right across the street from the Naval Academy & two blocks from downtown Annapolis. Off street parking is available for guests & is a huge benefit. Once you park your car, you can walk to everything. Every time we have stayed, the accomodations have been perfect. Breakfast is fabulous & home made! We can't say enough good things and tell all our friends & family to stay there.

We had the pleasure of staying at the B&B over our son's Commissioning week and Wedding weekend! Staying at the Flaghouse we feel we have made a new 2nd family with the owners...we will for sure stay at Flaghouse again when in the area...Breakfasts were fantastic...The photo's online do not show just how truly perfect the decor of the Flaghouse Inn truly is...you have to See it to Believe it! Don't miss out if you are in the area stay here you will be glad you did.

Had personal business to attend to in Annapolis yet wanted to also incorporate some rest and relaxation into the trip. This is the wrong place for that. Innkeeper is extremely aware of your movements in her house. You feel liked you are watched over all the time because you are. In fact all of your comings and goings are noted by the innkeeper and occasionally mentioned to you. Very stressful and intrusive.
The inn is clean and the location is convenient being in the historic district but the truth is that the establishment is motel quality with no B&B characteristics except for a breakfast in the morning (cereal, eggs bacon), patterned, fabric decor and some books. For the price I could've had my pick of any of the B&B's in the area and not been lorded over by an anxious, talkative woman who wouldn't let us enjoy our coffee.
I was not allowed to use the business center, was given unwanted personal criticisms while being lectured about a list of rules of the house, and was "talked at" by the proprietress while trying to attend to my affairs. She needlessly rushed us during our departure and yet wouldn't get out of our way so we could leave. I could have saved money and some grey hairs by avoiding The Flag House Inn.

When I searched online for a place to stay in Annapolis, I almost immediately picked the Flag House Inn. There was something about the description and the photos that seemed just perfect: a Victorian home built in the 1870's in historic Annapolis, one block away from the Naval Academy, and a few minutes from the State Capital. When my daughter, my best friend and I arrived, we were not disappointed. We were greeted by Charlotte and her husband, a charming couple who immediately made us feel at home, gave us a tour of the house, provided us with helpful information about the surroundings, and told us about life at the Naval Academy. We could have sat in the living room talking to them all afternoon! Their warmth and stories made a particular impression on my sixteen year old daughter who is considering entering the Naval Academy. We couldn't have chosen a better place as an introduction to Annapolis.
The house itself is a littel jewel, very well preserved, clean, tastefully furnished. The rooms are spacious enough for a couple, and very cozy. The beds are extremely comfortable. Breakfast: Charlotte's egg souffle' was wonderful. We'll definetely go back next time we make the trip from out West.

Room Tip: get the big room on the third floor!
