We went as 3 on a Thursday evening which should be prime time for Anna restaurants---the establishment was less than half full which should have been our first flag. We ordered the bruschetta, and clams and mussels, neither of which were anything to write home about-ditto the comment below re the bruschetta, the , the clams and mussels were in fact clams and mussels but we question how long they had been in stock, EVOO as advertised was not very good qual-bittery but maybe some will like that--wifey had a queesey feeling about them. The wine we ordered was "on back order." The carbonara was almost a paste-the panchetta was almost flavorless. Wait staff was slow on the draw---more interseted in talking with friends in the back than watching the front. The good reviews seem to focus on when the owner is around-maybe that's the key...

What a great surprise. We were going to a concert at Ram's Head and decided to try Luna Blu. What a gem - why had we not been here before? The restaurant is cozy and charming. The service was fantastic. We discovered that the owner, Erin, was also our server. Talk about someone with a vested interest in our dining experience, and she did not disappoint. The bread and dipping oil, fresh in-house made mozzarella, and the pasta entrees were all terrific (and hot!). An added bonus was two-for one wine night (Monday and Wednesday). We have discovered another favorite restaurant that we will return to again and again. If anyone is really interested in how a successful small restaurant operates, check out Luna Blu and Vin 909. Erin and Alex (Vin 909) are totally hands-on, demanding accountability and excellence, which ensures a strong and steady base of returning customers.

This is a tiny established tucked into a cocoon of shops along the eastern end of Annapolis' West Street. Its menu is superb and the prices are competitive. The owner, a charming individual serves tables as well as greets guests.

This is one of our favorites in Annapolis. Different choices for italian food and very large portions. Very attentive service, though it wasn;t croweded the night we were there. Entire menu available for restaurant week. It is a compact place, but I'm OK with that. Parking right behind the place in Gotts garage.

I want my $70 back. Although Luna Blu has a decent wine and dessert list, the food and dining room ambiance are horrible. We started with a bruschetta that was made with bland tomatoes that had clearly been frozen and thawed. We had the chicken piccata and penne alla vodka with chicken for our entrees. The piccata was bland and the chicken was flavorless and gummy. The sauce resembled dishwater with capers floating about. The sauce on the penne was decent but chicken was overcooked and gristly. The dining room is a little cramped and the decor is very dated. Service was prompt and friendly...I wish we had the stomach for dessert. Despite being lifelong Annapolitans, this was our first time in. We won't be back.
